All-year Child Care in the Municipal Kindergartens

If required, a seasonal kindergarten is offered during the Christmas, Easter and summer holidays. During the semester break, all municipal kindergartens are run on a limited basis. For the summer kindergarten, as for the annual kindergarten, parents' dues are staggered according to income according to the social welfare rate of the federal state of Styria (as stated above). Weekly care and payment is also possible. The care during the entire summer holidays takes place either half and whole day from 6.30 o'clock to 12.30 o'clock and from 6.30 o'clock to 16.30 o'clock and/or 7.00 o'clock to 17.00 o'clock. For children who are one year before starting school, the summer kindergarten must be paid.

Child education and care for children with special educational requirements from the age of 3 until, at the latest, the end of the kindergarten year in which the child reaches the age of 8. A special kindergarten teacher, together with a kindergarten teacher and a child care worker, supports the children in their development. They are also regularly supported by physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists and psychologists.

One integration group:

Summer Resort

The municipality of Kapfenberg provides childcare for school children during the statutory summer holidays. The location for the summer after-school care is always at the Dr. Jonas Elementary School. The children are cared for daily by well-trained staff. Games, fun and lots of activity are on the holiday schedule. There is a choice between an all-day group with lunch (Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or between a half-day group without lunch (Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Registration takes place in January and February of the respective calendar year.
